Annual Golf Tournament on May 7, 2018.

Contact susan.patten.ctwc@gmail.com for more information.

This year’s event will be held at the exclusive Escondido Golf and Lake Club in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.  Space is limited to just 30 foursomes and includes golf, course lunch, beverages, plus a pre-event cocktail party Sunday evening.   More than just golf - this event helps fund a significant portion of our annual operating expenses.   We greatly appreciate the generosity of individuals, foundations, and corporations who support CTWC’s efforts to ensure that water stays in the lakes to keep them viable today and well into the future.

CTWC is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the interests of the businesses and residents in the Highland Lakes region. We are the only organization committed to continually monitoring and engaging with the entities that control water management and policy in the state.  Our mission is to preserve the Highland Lakes – an irreplaceable natural resource supplying water to over 2 million central Texas residents.  CTWC takes a broad-based multidisciplinary approach to water management based on science, data, and best practices.

We rely on donations from area residents and municipalities to cover the cost of hiring hydrology experts, water attorneys, and coordinating regulatory and legislative representation.  Without the support of dedicated individuals like you, we would not be able to continue our work and keep water issues on the top of everyone’s agenda.

These are critical times, and right now CTWC is tackling two of the most important projects in our history – the LCRA Sunset Review and the new 2018 LCRA Water Management Plan. With your support, we will make certain that the voice of everyone who lives, works or relies on the lakes for water is heard when it comes to improving the management policies set for the sale, pricing, and release of water from the lakes.

If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact us at Info@CentralTexasWaterCoaliton.org.

A Message From the President
Jo Karr Tedder

Hasn’t it been wonderful to see the lakes full?

Hopefully by now all Central Texans realize we need to remain vigilant if we want to keep our lakes healthy and productive and protect our drinking water. If it hadn’t been for our ongoing work with LCRA and TCEQ to get emergency orders in place during the drought conditions, more water could have been released downstream.

Now that we are beginning to see economic activity return to where it used to be, it’s important for us to continue to protect our region’s interests and our water. If we relax and think state agencies will do it for us, we run the risk of seeing history repeat itself.

As an advocate for sensible water management, we rely solely on your financial support to continue protecting the water and the lakes. I hope you will consider making a contribution to CTWC, participating in our fundraising events and becoming a "Guardian of the Lakes" member.

Thank you for your support!

It was a Fabulous Evening Under the Stars in October 2016

THANKS to ALL of the CTWC supporters and contributors who made An Evening Under The Stars at Star Hill Ranch possible – without them we wouldn’t be able to highlight the importance of proper water management and education of proper water usage throughout the Highland Lakes area. We honored Senator Troy Fraser as a Guardian of the Lakes. Fabulous dinner donated by Cafe Blue, great live and silent auction and great music from Radney Foster!

Money raised will go for hydrology research, legislative efforts, and community outreach in order to make an impact on the water planning and policy decision making at local, regional and statewide levels.

THANKS TO OUR HOST COMMITTEE MEMBERS: Austin Board of Realtors, Travis Askey, Mayor Joe Bain, Paul Brady, Janet Caylor, Scott Dabney, Comm.
